The goal of this website is to demonstrate that the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is ineffective tool in educating children on the dangers of drug use and gang activity.

"DARE was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles and has proven so successful that it is now being implemented in 75 percent of our nation's school districts and in more than 43 countries around the world."

Aa a child that went to DARE classes in every level of education, I found it to be a program without any sort of regulation. It was not taught like a regular class, it was not ever taken as seriously as any of the regular subjects, and it is usually taught by a police officer, someone who is not necessary a qualified instructor and may have a hard time translating his knowledge in a comprehensible way.
